To create the project shown here, follow the helpful hints below and the Scalloped Money Holder™ pattern (page 58) as outlined in our how-to book Originals. For more detailed information on how to create the featured technique and project, or to purchase a copy of Originals, contact your Close To My Heart Consultant.

  • Trim the papers as follows: one 3 1/2” x 8” Crème Brulee cardstock, one 2” x 2” Crème Brulee cardstock, one 1 1/2” x 1 1/2” Tulip cardstock, and as outlined on page 58 in Originals™.
  • Using the template from the pattern, create the card base and score the fold lines using the dry embossing/scoring stylus.
  • Using the Coluzzle® system, create a solid circle from Tulip cardstock and a ring from Crème Brulee cardstock.
  • Using Tulip ink, stamp a flower image on the Tulip circle.
  • Using the VersaMark® ink pad, stamp a sentiment on the Tulip circle and arch the border image and stamp on the scalloped card edge. Sprinkle each image with embossing powder. Use the craft heater to set the embossed images.
  • Use the Sponge Dauber to sponge the edges of the card, the small circle, the Just Blooms™ flower, and the 3 1/2” x 8” Crème Brulee cardstock.
  • Attach the 3 1/2” x 8” Crème Brulee cardstock to the card base.
  • Using the scalloped edge as a guide and Crème Brulee ink, stamp sentiments on the Crème Brulee cardstock.
  • Using the swivel knife, make a slit for the ribbon. Thread ribbon through slit and wrap it around the card. Secure with a knot in the front.
  • Attach the Just Blooms™ flower, small circle, ring, and brads as desired.
